PWST, SNCOIC UPDATE: - Tuesday, May 30, 2006
As we move into June of 2006 it seems only days ago that our Marines were in Iraq doing what Marines do best. Now everyone is home and moving on with their lives. Several have left the unit while others are no longer in the Corps. Some have been promoted and become part of the changing unit. We are now Fox Co, AT Bn and moving towards a new training regiment. The PWST that I have been a part of during that last 4 years is now finding its end. LtCol Hill retired and dropped to the IRR in March of 2006, I am preparing to transition back to my primary occupation as a Marine CID Agent in the fall and Sgt Ardoin is looking to move on as well. We are shopping for personnel to replace us at the unit; however, a much larger I/I Staff will remain behind in any future deployments relieving the need for a large PWST. To all of you that will read this I would like to thank you for the multitude of wonderful experiences I have had as a part of this unit over the past 4 years. TOW Platoon was and now Fox Co is made up of some very wonderful Marines and Marine Families. I have been truly blessed to be a part of something so fantastic. We have a new crew of young Marines at the I/I Staff that are learning the Acadiana Community and how to be a part of a Marine Reserve Unit. As with any transition there are bumps in the road but I assure you that these Marines will set a new standard of support that exceeds all predecessors. As I finish my tour as the Staff-Non Commissioned Officer in Charge of the PWST I will do my very best to support the I/I, the Marines and the unit. I also thank each of you family members that became personally involved in the unit while the Marines were deployed. Without your help I and the PWST could not have accomplished the level of support that set an example to be followed. As a unit the rear party accomplished a lot that was done behind the scenes are often never spoken of. Obviously the danger level was much less that that faced by our   read more...

  Spam Blockers

Many of you may have spam filters on your computer or at your internet provider that automatically block any “automatically' generated email.   The message notification on the Forum falls into that category.  It may be that unless you SPECIFICALLY  allow email from 23tow.net, all these messages will get blocked.  If you are  not getting any notifications of new messages, that's probably the case.   If it's a spam filter on your own machine, you can 'allow' 23tow.net messages.  If you think it's your provider, you can contact them and ask them to let the messages through.
